What Is the Blue Card?

The EU Blue Card is a temporary residence permit designed to attract highly skilled workers from outside the EU to Germany and several other European countries. Anyone with a university degree and a qualifying job offer from a German employer can apply.

Engineering, IT, healthcare, education, and MINT fields (mathematics, informatics, natural sciences, and technology) are given priority in review.
